April 7, 2021

We are so excited to introduce yet another highly-requested feature –– Group and Domain Licenses.
This article originated from the Xero blog. The XU Hub is an independent news and media platform - for Xero users, by Xero users. Any content, imagery and associated links below are directly from Xero and not produced by the XU Hub.

A domain license is a license that is given for a specific domain. For example, using abc@accon.services for an individual user instead of something like abc@gmail.com. Domain licenses are also sometimes called volume licenses. Our new feature allows your business to purchase and manage licenses for all of your users. We have introduced multiple tiers/plans that include various combinations of users and companies that will best meet your business needs.

There are three plans or tiers of Group and Domain licenses available to you: Accountant, Advisor, and Enterprise.

The Accountant license is a Group license that has been designed for growing accounting/bookkeeping firms and businesses. This license can be used for up to 5 users and up to 25 companies.

The Advisor Group license is meant to be used by established small or medium-sized accounting/bookkeeping companies and businesses. This license can be used for up to 10 users and up to 50 companies .

Finally, the Enterprise Domain license has been designed for medium and large accounting/bookkeeping companies and businesses. This license can be used for unlimited users and unlimited companies.

How it works

You can purchase/manage our new licenses through the G-Accon Add-on by selecting the “Buy License” menu option or through our G-Accon website by becoming the Admin for your license.

The next step is to assign new users to the Group/Domain license and provide them with the necessary access privileges.

Accountant and Advisor plans include an organization domain such as @accon.services in addition to an individual email such as abc@gmail.com.

For the Enterprise plan only users, a “within company” domain can be added. By default, any users who are added to the Enterprise plan have the “full” access.

The following roles and privileges can be assigned to domain users:

Read Only – the user has the ability to create standard and customized accounting templates, refresh manually, create workflows to set up the automatic refresh, and save templates in cloud.

Execute Existing Templates Only – the user has the ability to execute the templates that have been shared with them.

Full Access – the user has the ability to create standard and customized accounting templates, refresh manually, create workflows to set up the automatic refresh, save templates in cloud, and upload data in bulk from Google Spreadsheets to specific organization(s).

Full Access/Admin Rights – the user has the ability to create standard and customized accounting templates, refresh them manually, create workflows to set up the automatic refresh, save templates in cloud, upload data in bulk from Google Spreadsheets to various organization(s), create new users, and assign roles to new users.

G-Accon users can also request to add organization(s) to the existing Group/Domain plan for an additional price.

Our existing G-Accon customers now have the opportunity to migrate into a new plan by contacting G-Accon team at support@accon.services for the assistance.

There is a short video which explains how to set up new G-Accon Group or Domain license, add users to the plan, and assign the different privileges to the users:

Why leave it there?
