Damien joins Practice Ignition following our A$26M Series B round, and will play a leading role as we double-down on driving awareness, expanding our footprint and deepening customer value. We’re currently helping more than 2,500 accounting and bookkeeping firms manage over 135,000+ recurring engagements every month. With Damien on board, he’ll oversee the expansion of our marketing capabilities across events, partnerships, digital, customer and product marketing. He’ll continue to build on our strong foundation of customer love.

For many in the cloud accounting sphere, Damien is a familiar face. He partnered with Chris Frederiksen, CPA to create and grow 2020 Group USA – a membership and consulting group for small and medium-sized accounting firms. This group grew to 1,000 members and was acquired by Panalitix in 2015. Since then, he opened Receipt Bank's North America office (2015) and was responsible for the initial growth and development of the US and Canada team and market. Following that, he joined Receipt Bank's marketing team to drive awareness and market share across all markets.

On top of his day to day, Damien is a sought after speaker on topics including strategic technology implementation, change management and pricing. He was recently recognized by CPA Practice Advisor as one top 20 Influencers under 40.

Having been based in the US for the past 15 years, Damien is looking forward to returning to Australia with his wife – to settle down in Sydney. Over the years, Damien has completed Ironman Triathlons in Melbourne and Cabo, Mexico, marathons in San Francisco and New York, and escaped from Alcatraz several times!

Welcome to the team Damien, we’re so thrilled you're here!
