WhisperClaims, a leading provider of software for R&D tax relief claim preparation, has launched a new AI-powered feature within its platform. Now available in beta to customers, the new +AI functionality offers real-time suggestions to enhance the quality and clarity of project narrative descriptions in the claim process.

This latest development builds on WhisperClaims’ structured, adviser-led methodology, adding optional AI support without compromising human oversight or the compliance-focused approach that underpins the software.

Key features of WhisperClaims +AI (beta):

• Focus on narrative improvement: +AI is designed to support accountants and advisers in refining the project descriptions section of a claim.
• No impact on compliance engine: WhisperClaims’ in-app risk review tools, which assess the size, structure, and shape of a claim, remain unchanged and separate from the new AI feature.
• Optional and flexible: The tool is enabled for all customers during the beta period but can be switched off at licence level on request. Customer feedback will help shape the final version and future pricing structure.
• Easy access, in-person support remains at the heart of WhisperClaims’ service: The company maintains its unique customer support model, which includes unlimited access to Advice Line support channels for all customers, as well as claim review services, in-app guidance, educational webinars, and content.

This move comes at a time when the R&D tax sector continues to face complexity, compliance risk, and tight regulatory expectations. WhisperClaims’ decision to position +AI as an optional enhancement rather than a core dependency offers customers flexibility and transparency.

WhisperClaims also confirms that access to +AI will not require migration to a premium tier. Pricing is yet to be finalised but is likely to include both monthly subscription add-ons and ad hoc usage options.

The beta version of +AI is available now to all WhisperClaims customers during this trial phase, at no additional cost. Further announcements are expected in September.
